YORA exfoliants combine fruit acids (AHA) and physical particles such as bamboo beads to remove dead skin cells, stimulating the skin's immune system to repair, regenerate and return our skin to a natural healthy glow. We include ingredients that ensure deep hydration in the short, medium and long term, leaving the skin primed for the rest of your skincare routine.  Exfoliation through chemical or physical means is the process of removing excess corneocyte build-up, which stimulates cell turnover for a more polished, smoother surface. Commonly used chemical exfoliants include glycolic, lactic, and malic acids, known as α-hydroxy acids (AHAs), and salicylic acid, which is a β-hydroxy acid. These acids strengthen the skin’s barrier function and serve as antioxidant chelating agents, which absorb free radicals generated by ultraviolet exposure.
