Lip Care

YORA lip products contain actives that have volumising effects, enhancing lip fullness, density and plumpness. These active ingredients work to tighten the skin around the lips, while smoothing wrinkles, delivering long lasting hydration and restoring elasticity. Lips form an extension from the mucosal membrane to the outer skin and are covered by a thin layer of stratum corneum. They have poor skin barrier function and low moisture capacity with no melanocytes to produce melanin, contributing to their pink/red hue. As a result, the lips are highly susceptible to environmental effects such as wind, sun and extreme temperatures. This can cause the lips to become dry, chapped, and dull in colour. Loss of collagen, elastin and hydration in the lips occurs with age and can result in the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
